  Notes for DAVID ROBERT GRIFFIN:
  Memphis Commercial Appeal - Saturday Dec. 8, 1945 - David Robert Griffin
  of 169 Jackson Ave. was found dead in the North Memphis Reservoir on Main
  between Greenlaw and Mill at 4:30 PM yesterday. Mr. Griffin was reported
  missing three days ago. The death is listed as a simple "drowning" but
  inspector Pete Wiebenga, Chief of the Homicide Bureau and Deputy
  Inspectors Larry Fox and James Hillin were continuing there investigation
  last night with the questioning of several witnesses.
  Inspector Wiebenga said last night that their investigation had disclosed
  no evidence of foul play. An autopsy will be performed at John Gaston
  Hospital. Mr. Griffin, which detectives estimated had been in the water
  48 hours was pronounced dead at 5:00PM at St. Joseph Hospital.
  Mr. Griffin formerly was an employee of Fisher Memphis Aircraft Division.
  He moved to Memphis three years ago from Covington, Tenn.
  Personal note by family: When he was found, his wallet was missing. The
  case was left unsolved.
