January 11, 2005 - Tuesday, Memphis Commercial Appeal Dyersburg -- Ray Lyne Gourley Rodriguez, 41, of Lusby, Md., formerly of Dyersburg, homemaker, died Saturday at University Hospital of Arkansas in Little Rock. Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Fowlkes United Methodist Church with burial in Fairview Cemetery. J.W. Curry & Son Funeral Home has charge. Mrs. Rodriguez, the wife of Hector Rodriguez, also leaves a son, Zachary Rodriguez of Lusby; her parents, Ray and Marie Gourley; a sister, Mary C. Tomasek, and a brother, Robert E. Gourley, all of Dyersburg. The family requests that any memorials be sent to the American Cancer Society.

Additional Note: Ray Lyne and I spoke off and on for a few years while researching the Gourley family. She was very nice and always eager to share. She loved researching the family and was very proud of them. I regret that I never met her in person, it was an honor to have worked with her.
