Gary S. Frazier (Nov. 12th, 1949-Nov. 11th, 2020)

Gary Sanford Frazier passed away on November 11th, 2020 in Olive Branch, MS at Methodist Olive Branch from complications due to COVID-19. He was born on November 12th, 1949 in Gates, TN. He was married to his wife Susan for 54 years. They were high school sweethearts, and were the perfect depiction of what a unity in marriage should look like. He had two sons Gary A. Frazier (Tony) who passed away in 2019 and Jeffrey A. Frazier. He also was the grandfather of 5 grandchildren: Mallory Lee (Frazier), Jhessa Frazier, Jonathan Frazier, Shane Frazier, and Nick Frazier. He worked for many years at an operations manager working on tractor trailers. He was a salt-of-the-earth kind of man who gave everything he had and made sure the job was done right and was the hardest worker I have ever known. He used to coach a baseball team that his kids played on and also played baseball in school growing up. Gary would never miss a Tennessee Vols football game. He would sit in his chair and watch them play and unfortunately lose quite a bit of games, but nonetheless, he was still an avid fan. He had many friends who described him as a funny, hard working, and wonderful man altogether. As one of his grandsons, I'd like to say that I couldn't have asked for a more perfect Papa. He would take care of us grandkids and made sure we were raised the right way. I'll miss watching football games with him and chatting about life with him. He always put a smile on your face with his stories and jokes. I am lucky to have been able to call him on the weekends while in college and talk about what's going on. He always was so chipper when talking to him. Man, he had such an impact on my life and makes me proud to be a Frazier; I will make sure my kids know about him. He will certainly be missed but his impact on others will certainly live on.
